The Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku is seeking the services of a senior officer with experience across all Shire programs / functions with extensive knowledge in finance and administration. Remuneration package negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. Whilst the position is based in Warburton, WA, fly-in / fly-out and work from home is negotiable. Refuse Collection Worker – Warburton

Casual Position

The Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku is inviting applications from suitably qualified and/or experienced persons to fill the above position.

Reporting to the Environmental Health Field Support Officer the purpose and scope of the position is to:

  • · Collect refuse from street bins, the community store and community buildings;
  • · Transport all community waste to the landfill site;
  • · Assist with the maintenance of the refuse vehicle in accordance with position description, Council procedures and policy, ensuring any necessary repairs are reported and progressed;
  • · Assist with the maintenance of street bins and bin infrastructure;
  • · Assist with the control and management of litter by conducting or supervising street clean-up programmes.

Conditions of employment for this position are in accordance with the Local Government Officers (WA) Award 1999 and Council Policy. The remuneration for the position is on a casual basis with the hourly rate being $24.45.  The successful applicant is also entitled to Superannuation in accordance with regulation and Council Policy and Shire uniform and personal protective equipment. The successful applicant will have a current “C” Class drivers’ licence as a minimum.
