Australian Aboriginal men and women from Ngaanyatjarra lands make their carvings from dry wood, tree root, mulga wood or river gum. They use the shape of the wood to make weapons. some armaments can be plain, while others have patterns and symbols. The weapons are made sitting near the camp fire while dreaming stories are told.
